Marcela Santillana del Rio

An expert in administrative and labor matters focused on women and specialized in gender studies. With more than 12 years of experience, her work spans human rights and corporate law, as well as counseling and advising on children’s and adolescent rights, family matters, and violence prevention.

She has been a key player in developing strategies for gender-based violence prevention and implementing public policies in the Galapagos Province. She has collaborated as a private consultant for Universidad San Francisco de Quito and UN Women, in addition to her role in the public sector as an Analyst for Special Protection of Children at the Ministry of Social Inclusion.

Since 2020, she has provided invaluable advice to organizations committed to the prevention, visibility, and eradication of violence against women.
